Moon Taxi – Mountains Beaches Cities (BMG)
[17503_10151503506487169_1441668186_n.jpg]Nashville’s Moon Taxi will be releasing their third album Mountains Beaches Cities on September 10th via BMG. The album reveals the band exploring a new approach to their acoustic and electronic elements within their music, therein creating an overall bigger sound. The record was self-produced by Moon Taxi’s own guitarist Spencer Thomson with the help of keyboardist Wes Bailey, and was mixed by Vance Powell (Jack  White,The Dead Weather) and mastered by Greg Calbi(Talking Heads, Paul Simon, Fleet Foxes). Moon Taxi is known for their raucous live shows and breakout debut performances at major music festivals such as: Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Hangout, and Forecastle. The five-piece will be on tour this summer leading up to the Fall release.

The Bloody Beetroots - HIDE (Ultra Music)

Elvis Costello & The Roots - Wise Up Ghost (Blue Note)
[QL_EC_TamaraWeber_LR.JPG]Elvis Costello and The Roots will release a collaborative album entitled Wise Up Ghost on September 17th. The existence of the album was first revealed by ?uestlove as an aside during an interview with Billboard Magazine in January. Most of the sessions for Wise Up Ghost took place in secret at Feliz Habitat Studios in the dead of night, while others were in plain sight at Costello’s Hookery Crookery Studios. Brendan Canning – You Gots 2 Chill (Draper St. Records/SQE)
[Lo Res Album Art]Broken Social Scene’s Brendan Canning will be releasing his second solo album, You Gots 2 Chill, this fall. THE NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL PRESENTS WAY OVER YONDER*Santa Monica Pier (October 5th+6th)
[cid:image001.jpg at 01CE62E1.DB1679D0]On October 5th and 6th The Newport Folk Festival, America’s Original Music Festival will make its way to the Santa Monica Pier with its West Coast edition, Way Over Yonder. There will be two stages, a picturesque backdrop and performances from over 18 artists including Conor Oberst, Neko Case, Brett Dennen, First Aid Kit, Shovels & Rope, Justin Townes Earle, Calexico and more. Festival producer George Wein and folk icon Pete Seeger, founded the festival in 1959. The festival has been filled to capacity over the past few years. This new partnership makes it possible for more fans to experience these same great artists in a different setting.  In February, the festival received the Best Music Festival award by Pollstar, the concert industry trade publication.
