July 16, 2013 - New York, NY - Gov't Mule has announced their highly anticipated fall tour in support of their first studio album in four years, Shout!, out September 24. A slew of festival performances are planned leading up to the start of these headlining dates, including Gathering of the Vibes, Interlocken and Peach Festival. On September 13th the band will kick off the tour at the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival. A very special pre-album release show is set for September 17th in New York City at Best Buy Theater. The band will then head to cities including Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago and more for shows celebrating the release of the double-disc album, which marks their Blue Note Records debut. The tour news comes on the heels of last week's exciting announcement that Shout! will be a double-disc, featuring 11 new tracks plus a bonus disc with an all-star lineup of vocalists interpreting The Mule's new songs - an unprecedented gift for fans. Special guests Elvis Costello, Dr. John, Ben Harper, Toots Hibbert, Glenn Hughes, Jim James, Myles Kennedy, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, Ty Taylor and Steve Winwood appear on Disc 2 of Shout! Gov't Mule - singer-guitarist/co-founder Warren Haynes, drummer/co-founder Matt Abts, keyboardist-guitarist Danny Louis and bassist Jorgen Carlsson - has released nine critically acclaimed studio albums and an assortment of DVDs and live albums. The band has sold more than three million song downloads through their site MuleTracks and is the consummate live act.

In addition, Haynes is involved with two other tours. The Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration Featuring Warren Haynes<http://jerrygarcia.com/Events> is a groundbreaking orchestral adventure - curated by the Garcia family and Haynes - that features Warren performing the musical icon's storied original compositions as well as classic interpretations of timeless standards that were hallmarks of Garcia and the Grateful Dead's shows. The outing pairs Haynes with some of the country's most respected symphonies and a band assembled especially for the tour. In August and September, Haynes will be touring with the Allman Brothers Band, which he has been a member of since 1989.
