Hip-hop luminary Talib Kweli is releasing his 5th solo studio album Prisoner of Conscious, out May 7th on Javotti Media/Caroline Distribution. The album boasts a slew of guest features including Busta Rhymes, Curren$y, Kendrick Lamar, Melanie Fiona, Marsha Ambrosius, Miguel, Nelly, Ryan Leslie and Seu Jorge. Talib Kweli, nearly 20 years into his prolific career, stands as one of the most gifted lyricists, acclaimed rappers and in-demand performers in music today. PJ Morton - who does double duty as a solo artist signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money and the keyboardist in Maroon 5 - is releasing his major label debut album New Orleans on May 14th. His lead single "Only One" features Stevie Wonder on harmonica. The band has had a ton of buzz and their debut full-length American Love is out on May 14th. They will make their late-night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! May 17. They are support on the Karmaloop Verge Campus Tour happening now with Kendrick Lamar and Steve Aoki. They will play the Boston Calling Festival May 25th sharing a bill with FUN., The Shins, Marina and The Diamonds, Matt & Kim, St. Lucia and more. They fuse together classic '90's R&B, post-rock, funk, punk and metal influences to create a futuristic new jack swing. The lead singer sounds like a cross between Sly Stone and Prince. The band has shared a stage with Wu-Tang Clan, Passion Pit, Deftones, Mos Def, Travie McCoy, GlassJaw, Bad Brains, Foxy Shazam, John Legend and Common and played the Vans Warped Tour. World renowned Italian jazz guitarist Fabrizio Sotti will release his third solo album Right Now is out May 14th - Fabrizio has some really great contemporary guests on the album including Ice T, Shaggy, Melanie Fiona, Res, M-1 of Dead Prez, Zucchero, Mino Cinelu, Claudia Acuna and more. The album has covers of Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, U2, Zucchero and Cesária Évoraso. For the first time as a recording artist he is mixing jazz and the pop sensibilities he has from his production work with Jennifer Lopez, Whitney Houston, Q-Tip and more.
