Singer-songwriter & actress Katharine McPhee is excited to announce her upcoming album, Hysteria, to be released on Friday, July 24th via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music). Katharine's latest album represents a huge transition for her as an artist as she has immersed herself in every creative element, from the conception of the song to the melody, lyrics, production, and more. This album marks Katharine's first real hands-on experience in the involvement of all facets of a song creation. She is actively collaborating with writers and producers, as opposed to simply stepping into a vocal booth and recording the vocals for a track. Isabella "Machine" Summers co-wrote and produced 5 of the songs. Ryan Tedder co-wrote one of the singles. Katharine was involved in the writing of every, single track on the album.

Katharine McPhee, an accomplished actress and singer, first burst onto the scene in 2005 on Season 5 of American Idol where she was the runner up. McPhee's self-titled debut album landed at # 2 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2007.  It was also the best chart debut for a female artist in two years.  Her first single, "Over the Rainbow/My Destiny," debuted at #2 on Billboard's Hot Singles Sales chart. Her second album, Unbroken, was released on Verve Forecast Records on January 5, 2010 and debuted at number 27 on the Billboard 200. The album featured the single "Had It All." A duet version of the album track "Terrified" was later released with former Chuck star Zachary Levi. The album went gold in 2008, and in 2009, she garnered a Young Hollywood Award for Best Female Vocalist.  Katharine McPhee currently stars as Paige Dineen on CBS' hit drama Scorpion. She also played an integral role in NBC's hit series Smash, - where she starred opposite Debra Messing - executive produced by Steven Spielberg." McPhee appeared on the big screen for the Adam Sandler comedy "House Bunny." In addition to her acting and singing career, McPhee is a passionate philanthropist, currently serving as a spokesperson for Malaria No More (www.McPheeOutreach.org<http://www.McPheeOutreach.org>).
