Los Angeles, CA- November 4, 2014 - The Band of Merrymakers, a rotating-cast Yuletide super group featuring today's biggest artists, premiered their debut single "Must Be Christmas" (The End Records) on USA TODAY, PRESS HERE<http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2014/11/03/band-of-merrymakers-must-be-christmas-premiere/18378671/> to listen. The track will be available on iTunes on November 17th and a portion of proceeds from the upcoming holiday track will go to the MusiCares Foundation(r).

The Band of Merrymakers includes members of Lady Antebellum, Neon Trees, Fitz and The Tantrums, 311, Better Than Ezra, 3OH!3, Smallpools, The Mowglis, Sinclair, and The Honeymoons

Hit songwriters Sam Hollander and Kevin Griffin were deep in the midst of a heated, decade-old holiday music debate (Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas" or "A Very Special Christmas" compilations benefitting the Special Olympics) when they both suddenly wondered: where has all the holiday musical philanthropy gone? Where's the give minus the take? And thus, they formed Band of Merrymakers. The Band of Merrymakers will also be releasing digital trading cards featuring each artist. Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees kicked things off unveiling his card today.

"Sam Hollander is one of my favorite people in the business," says Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees. "I thought this song that he wrote with Kevin Griffin was really fun and also expressed what the holidays are about for a lot of people."

Not only does the upcoming single + digital trading cards intend to spread cheer throughout the holiday season but also benefit and raise awareness for MusiCares(r).

MusiCares(r) is a nonprofit organization that was established by The Recording Academy(r) to provide a wide range of emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to members of the music community.
