Portfolio Feature Enables Artists to Showcase Work; Artist Films Highlight Eclectic Range of Talent Including Hit-Boy, Portugal. The Man, Findlay, Amadeus, Axelrod, and Ace Da God

LOS ANGELES – Oct. 17, 2013 – Myspace has launched Portfolio and Artist Films, two new experiential initiatives, developed to support artists by heightening their visibility and enabling them to build their personal brand while reaching new fans. Portfolio is an easy-to-use multimedia tool that enables artists to showcase their work, honor their inspiration, and grow their audience. Over 15,000 people have already activated the Portfolio feature on their profiles. In celebration of the new artist-focused product feature, Myspace is also debuting an artist-centric campaign highlighting a range of creative individuals who call Myspace their home. Artist Films Tells Each Creative’s Story
Launching on October 23, Artist Films are personalized short-films, produced in collaboration between the artist and director, enabling featured artists to tell their stories. Hit-Boy, Amadeus, Findlay, and Ace Da God films were shot by international filmmaker and photographer Christian Weber. Known for his award-winning work, Weber worked closely with the artists to bring their respective visions to life.

Portfolio Highlights the Myspace Community

Prominently displayed as a dedicated section within the profile, Portfolio enables artists to promote a collection of their original work or a curated gallery of works from those who inspire them. Varying combinations of photos, videos, Myspace Mixes, songs, albums, images, and animated GIFs make up an artist’s multimedia canvas. Portfolio’s versatility supports a broad spectrum of content creators and curators who can feature a selection of 10-31 pieces of content to display a complete collection of their creative endeavors on both desktop and mobile.

Portfolio is available free to all Myspace members, and can be easily accessed from the profile navigation bar. Myspace Artists Films debut on cable television (MTV Network) and online starting October 23, 2013.
