Iconic rock musician and Bon Jovi founding member Richie Sambora recently took part in CBS.com's music performance series Tip Cup, which captures well-known artists playing undercover in unexpected locations to support MusiCares. Richie went incognito as he busked for tips in New York City's crowded Chelsea Market on a recent run-of-the-mill weekday afternoon. When his identity was revealed, Tip Cup partner Motorola multiplied the tips to $10,000 for MusiCares. In keeping with the organization's mission to provide assistance to music people in times of need, Richie presented a check to Alvin Flythe, who has been a saxophonist for 45 years and has been unable to earn a living as a musician for the past several months since needing unexpected open-heart surgery.
