Maroon 5 needs YOUR help for their next music video. The band members are asking fans to record and share "their story," and that recording may be handpicked to appear in the video for the band's third single, "Daylight," directed by Jonas Akerlund.



A call to action to fans around the globe, The Daylight Project is a video to be created by the world's population. The band and Akerlund are looking for people from everywhere to come out and share their story - their testimony to life. Said Adam, "As different as we all are there are common themes that bring us together, inspire and show everyone what is important today," added Akerlund, "With this video, we'll present the world today and beyond, creating more than just a music video. The heartbeat of this project will be Maroon 5's 'Daylight.'"



[cid:image010.jpg at 01CD94C0.9F439310]Over a span of ten days, fans can visit http://daylightproject.org for more information and to submit a video. Submissions will be accepted beginning  TODAY. The deadline to submit will be October 1st.



"Daylight" is the third single off of Maroon 5's fourth studio album, Overexposed. The band is currently dominating the album and Top 40 charts with their new release, Overexposed, as well as singles "Payphone" and "One More Night." The album has been in the Top 10 since its debut and is currently holding at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 charts.



In addition to his work with Maroon 5, you can also catch frontman Adam Levine on the #1 NBC hit series, The Voice. Levine will also guest star on the new season of the hit FX series, American Horror Story- premiering Wednesday, October 17th.
