NEW YORK, NY Sept. 13, 2012—Iconic rock musician Richie Sambora has announced shows in Philadelphia on October 18 (The Electric Factory) and New York on October 23 (Best Buy Theatre), both on sale tomorrow! Tickets for the Philadelphia show at the Electric Factory will go on sale at 10amEST and tickets for the New York show at the Best Buy Theatre will go on sale at 12pmEST. Sambora will be performing in support of his upcoming solo album ‘Aftermath of the Lowdown,’ to be released digitally on September 18 and to all physical retailers September 25 via Dangerbird Records.
Fans can also catch Sambora performing his nostalgic single, “Every Road Leads Home To You,” live on a slew of upcoming TV appearances that include,Good Morning America on September 20, Live! With Kelly & Michael on September 21 and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 26! (Check your local listings).
If you can’t wait until then to hear the single live, you can check out the official lyric video on his YouTube channel, where Sambora fans were asked to submit instagram photos inspired by the uplifting song. Sambora selected the final photos chosen for the official video, PRESS HERE<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQTWyE_0ncA&feature=youtu.be> to view and stream!
On ‘Aftermath of the Lowdow,’ Sambora takes a major departure from his previous major label releases - Undiscovered Soul (1998) and Stranger In This Town (1991) – and returns to his roots, creating a vital and visceral album of raw power. The past decade has seen him become a reluctant tabloid staple, with his personal life dissected in magazines, on gossip websites and TV entertainment channels. For a guy from New Jersey who just wanted to play guitar it’s been a surreal ride. And while the supermarket check-out headlines don’t come close to reality, Sambora makes it clear on ‘Aftermath of the Lowdow’nthat he has a story to tell. Lyrically, he’s pulling no punches. “This is the truth, the lowdown,” he says. “And after you speak that truth, there’s always an aftermath.”
