Just two weeks away from releasing their fantastic new album, Cabaret, Nashville band Moon Taxi have announced a string of dates for 2012, with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks. The band has also unveiled a new video for an acoustic version of Cabaret track "Gunflower" on AOL Spinner. Moon Taxi's spring tour has already kicked off, and will see the band play some of their favorite venues of the Southeast as well as embark on separate strings of dates with Galactic, Perpetual Groove and Apache Relay.

Guest-produced by Hank Sullivant with Moon Taxi's guitarist Spencer Thomson, mixed by GRAMMY award winning sound engineer Vance Powell (Raconteurs), and recorded at Alex The Great in Nashville, Cabaret weaves the magnetic energy of Moon Taxi's live show with musical ingenuity and thoughtful lyrics. Moon Taxi evokes the musical revolution of the sixties and seventies, and ignites their eclectic sound with unique melodies and energetic shows. Captivating on stage and instrumentally virtuosic, the band has already formed a loyal fan base across the Southeast, selling out clubs and creating a strong grassroots following. The band has played festival such as 10,000 Lakes, the Hangout Festival, Wakarusa Festival and Mountain Jam as well as shared the stage with artists such as Matisyahu.
