Europe’s most beloved tenor Nikolai Baskov is bringing his “golden voice” to the U.S. for the first time this February 2012, with tickets going on sale just in time for the holidays. This month will also see the airing of his acclaimed concert special “Romantic Journey” on PBS affiliates nationwide. Airdates in each market as well as February tour dates are listed below.

A magnetic performer who seamlessly leaps between classical and pop music, Nikolai Baskov has been compared to some of the world’s great tenors and has established a remarkable career as one of Russia’s top artists, selling millions of albums worldwide. Baskov’s “Romantic Journey,” airing on PBS affiliates this month, captures Russia’s most elaborate performance ever recorded for international television in front of an audience of almost 10,000 people.  The 16 track CD and live concert DVD contains energized and charismatic performances of classic pieces such as “Tosca”, “La Boheme”, “Werther”, “Turandot” and favorites such as “Caruso”, “Granada” and “Back to Sorrento.”  Accompanied by a full orchestra, Baskov is joined by world-renowned soprano, Caballe Montserrat, and her daughter Marti, for several rousing duets. “Romantic Journey” is out now with distribution through Razor & Tie.

Baskov will recreate this unique and prolific performance on these select dates throughout the U.S. in 2012. Additional tour dates are to be announced.
