The video for "Fast Life" feat. Vic Mensa was directed by Asher's friend, Smash Lefunk, who captured the essence of the song and its message on the streets of L.A. Asher poses the question, "Do you want to take a message from the box?

The meaning behind the video is personal to Asher where he says "Where I'm from there isn't much to do so a lot of kids get caught up in drugs. 'Fast Life' is the story of a girl I knew who died after repeated drug abuse. She was smart and beautiful but didn't have the right influences in her life.  My buddy Vic helps share the importance of 'slow down and think' by narrating the constant violence in his hometown Chicago. Drug abuse and violence have been a dominant theme in hip-hop music and I hope 'Fast Life' can serve as a reminder of how fragile life can be. We don't need another overdose or gun related death to remind us life is precious."

The sound apparent in "Tangerine Girl" and throughout the entire collection is reminiscent of Asher's new life on the west coast. On making the album, Asher said "I made music that I would want to hear, music that felt good to me. We didn't play by any rules and that makes me proud. There shouldn't be any rules in making music. RetroHash is a genuine expression of the artist and person I am."
