New York, NY (June 14, 2007) - Bad Brains' forthcoming Build A Nation,
due June 26th, is now available for pre-order on iTunes. The first
proper Bad Brains studio album in over a decade, Build A Nation, is
scheduled to arrive in stores on June 26, 2007 on Megaforce Records.
Featuring all the original members of the group: HR, Darryl Jenifer, Dr.
Know and Earl Hudson, Build A Nation was produced by long time fan, Adam
Yauch of the Beastie Boys.

"The Brains are one of most powerful and unique bands in the world,"
stated Adam Yauch.  "They have been a huge influence on me, and it was
an honor to work with them on this record."

Build A Nation is a return to form for the band that helped define
american punk and hardcore music. It also represents the first
non-Beastie Boys studio album to be recorded at the Beastie Boys'
Oscilloscope Laboratories and Studio compound in New York City.=20

In addition to Adam Yauch's contribution, Shavo Odadjian from System Of
A Down has directed the video for the single "Give Thanks And Praises,"
which was filmed live at Sasquatch Festival.

"I've been a fan of the Brains ever since I can remember. They are
iconic pioneers of punk, not just the music but the attitude. The energy
that comes off their stage is like no other.  HR's performances have
effected not only my band, but almost every heavy band in our era.
Another major inspiration is their message of trying to promote
righteousness and living the righteous way. I am going to rock this
video for the Brains and try to capture their intense energy. It's a big
responsibility... I'm honored." says Shavo.
