Fast rising Scandinavian artist Samsaya released her much-awaited album Bombay Calling in North America today, April 28th via 3 Millimeter/BMG. New single “Beginning at the End” is available this week in the US for free on iTunes. PRESS HERE<http://hyperurl.co/BATEFreeoniTunes> to download. Samsaya, who was born in India and raised in Norway, mixes pop, dance, hip-hop, funk, and soul with traditional Indian sounds. Avoiding her parents’ pleas to perform classical Indian music, Samsaya continues to release club-ready tunes influenced by everyone from Mary J. Blige, TLC and Outkast to renowned Indian singer Asha Bhosle. While her parents have accepted her career choice, Samsaya's rebellious streak remains. When major labels asked the singer to fix a three-millimeter gap between her two front teeth, she refused and named her own record label 3 Millimeter Records. "I thought my teeth were the prettiest, coolest thing about me. It later became a big symbol to me of self-perception and not compromising."

Already a star in Norway, Samsaya released her self-titled EP in the U.S. last summer after her impressive live debut at 2014’s SXSW. She captivated fans and critics alike with her energetic shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York and was invited to join Lily Allen on several U.S. live dates in September.
