Fresh off the heels of two highly successful shows at this year's Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza festivals, Nashville's Moon Taxi<http://www.facebook.com/ridethemoontaxi> are thrilled to announce new tour dates. After receiving critical accolades for their record Cabaret, the five-piece will deliver a run of headlining performances, shows with Galactic, Umphrey's McGee, Dirty G'uvnas, and Dr. John, plus playing at Jublio Music Arts and Music Festival, Starry Nights Music Festival, and Bear Creek Festival. If you have yet to check out the quintet, who is currently on the road with Matisyahu and Dirty Heads, be sure to catch them on the road this Fall and Winter! Cabaret, which was produced by guitarist Spencer Thomson, guest-produced by Hank Sullivant and mixed by GRAMMY award winning sound engineer Vance Powell (The Raconteurs), weaves the magnetic energy of Moon Taxi's live show into their rousing guitar riffs and powerful key chords. Cabaret's sound and lyrics also stem from their passion for the bizarre qualities of surrealist art and Tom Robbins books. "It [Cabaret] is about juxtaposition-putting together seemingly opposite ideas and finding a strange harmony," says vocalist and guitarist Trevor Terndrup. "I guess we are trying to say that things are not so black and white, or good or evil, but relative to your own perspective."
