[cid:image002.jpg at 01CEC377.66A6E020]Los Angeles’ own self-taught pianist and singer BANKS will make her debut performance at Radio City Music Hall tonight(October 7th) and tomorrow night (October 8th) opening for The Weeknd. The tour is in support of BANKS’ LONDON EP (out now)<http://smarturl.it/banksep>, which has been highly praised by Pitchfork, Pigeons and Planes, Prefix, Idolator, The FADER, SPIN and many more! The EP, which also includes collaborations with Lil Silva, Jamie Woon, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, SOHN and Tim Anderson, establishes the BANKS sound – a place where sparse clicky beats, wiry basslines, mercurial synths, confessional lyrics, and seductive melodies coalesce. Her chilling live performance is not to be missed and LA Weekly boasts, “…her voice was even better (live) than it sounds on her just out EP.”

[cid:image004.jpg at 01CEC377.66A6E020]The Weeknd will headline two nights at Radio City Music Hall - tonight (October 7th) and tomorrow night (October 8th) -  in support of his acclaimed debut album Kiss Land (Republic Records).  Abel Tesfaye – the 23-year old who sings, writes and produces as The Weeknd – has been breaking more than the traditional mold of R&B music; he’s breaking through the mold of an industry that often tends to run on hype. Kiss Land debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart through word-of-mouth, a low profile and the merits of his music. Regarding his chilling live performances, the Los Angeles Times claims, “‘How do you maintain that ethereal, hazy terror on a chart-topping album and two shows at a 6,000-seat venue? With that absolutely one-of-a-kind voice. On new cuts like “Love in the Sky” and “Professional,” he vaulted from an angry, sinewy midrange to top notes unsettling in their purity and beauty.”
