On the heels of unveiling the line-up for the 2nd Annual 54/10 Music Marathon, Ars Nova - New York City's premier hub for emerging creative talent - has announced the 54/10 benefit party set for June 20th - An Evening with Freestyle Love Supreme. It will be held at Ars Nova and directly supports the 54/10 Music Marathon, which will offer two blissful weeks of eclectic live music from NYC's best up-and coming bands during June 14-25th. 

The captivatingly talented Freestyle Love Supreme will return to its Ars Nova roots for a live show unlike any other.  Over the past decade, their one-of-a-kind interactive blend of music, comedy and hip-hop has earned them the title of "masters in the art of freestyle rhyme" from the New York Times. Helmed by the creators of the Grammy & Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights Bill Sherman and Lin Manuel Miranda, Freestyle Love Supreme's six performers are driven by improvisation and take the crowd on a hurry-fasten-your-seatbelt ride, spinning cues from the audience into instantaneous riffs and fully realized music numbers. Their performance at Ars Nova will take a special format in which each member will take the spotlight solo before coming together for an unforgettable performance. 

In addition to announcing the benefit party, Ars Nova has just added Omar Zubair, Corey TuT, Clydesdale Erotic and Basement Batman to the 54/10 Music Marathon line-up. Spanning jazz rock to piano pop to orchestral space rock to experimental pop, the 54/10 line-up consists of NYC's most exciting and dynamic new bands. Advanced tickets for the 54/10 Music Marathon are available NOW for $5 via Ars Nova's web site, www.arsnovanyc.com. Tickets will also be available during 54/10 for $10 online and $15 at the door. City Winery joins Brooklyn Brewery and Buffalo Trace Whiskey as one of this year's sponsors for 54/10. 

Along with these incredible live shows from the cream of NYC's new musical crop, there will also be food trucks galore stationed outside of Ars Nova because what is a summer music marathon without delicious food? Throughout 54/10, the Joyride Ice Cream Truck, Eddie's Pizza Truck, Go Burger, Kimchi Taco Truck and Jiannetto's Pizza will be keeping the Ars Nova crowds well fed.

$100 Benefit Ticket: open bar, a seat at the 8pm seated performance and a pass to the 9:30pm dance party with all the artists from the 54/10 line-up.

$250 Backstage Pass: pre-show cocktail party hosted by Freestyle Love Supreme, open bar, reserved seat for the performance, pass to the dance party and an all-access pass for two to the 54/10 Music Marathon.

$500 VIP Ticket: pre-show cocktail party hosted by Freestyle Love Supreme, open bar, VIP seating for the performance, table service, pass to the dance party and an all-access pass for two to Ars Nova for the rest of 2011, including 54/10.
