The WOMBATS enter the UK charts at #3! NYC show on May 31 @ Bowery Ballroom

UK trio THE WOMBATS have returned with their acclaimed sophomore
release, The Wombats proudly present ... This Modern Glitch (Bright
Antenna/ILG). The album entered the UK charts at #3 (just after UK
phenomenon, Adele, still holding at #1 and #2). The BBC online has
already declared it "the pop album of the year" in their review, saying
"This Modern Glitch is a flawless modern classic...[an] incredible,
irrepressible, ecstatic, brilliant record ..." and Spin declared the
album "Echo & the Bunnymen for the Internet Age." 

MTV2 has just premiered the video for their biggest UK single to date
"Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)," which was also a FUSE video of the day. The
darkly comic track, already being picked up by alternative radio, boasts
a killer synth hook, a propulsive bass line and driving beats that
explode an exuberantly catchy chorus of the kind we've come to expect
from the band. With their UK and Australian tours sold out in advance,
and a US tour planned for Fall 2011, the Wombats will be making a quick
visit to the US for three special shows:
