Powerhouse guitarist and songstress Melissa Ferrick is headlining this month's Naked Soul<http://www.rmanyc.org/pages/load/192> at the gorgeous Rubin Museum of Art (150 W17th St.) on Friday, June 24th, at 7:00PM. The iconic indie-songstress will be playing (for the first time!) songs from her upcoming album, Still Right Here, stripped down- sans microphone or amplifier of any sort, an intimate and exciting chance to see her "fully unplugged, but totally connected."
Melissa's upcoming release, Still Right Here is set to hit September 13th and marks a thrilling and long-awaited end to Ferrick's five year studio hiatus. The album is her 17th full-length release and features guest vocals from friend and frequent tour mate, Ani DiFranco as well as guitar work from Kaki King. The record is an incredible collection of lo-fi balladry well worth the five year wait.
