Los Angeles-based musician and producer Jack Duff A.K.A. Glass Theory<http://www.facebook.com/glasstheory> announces the release of his EP Hard To Breath (out independently Summer 2013); the follow up to his tastemaker-lauded debut project Hang Up. Mixing his influence of L.A.'s underground dance scene with his fascination of the 80's, new wave, and Swedish-pop, today Duff unveils "Let Me Be Clear" exclusively on Vibe.com. The pop-glam track is lyrically about a not so glamorous situation - Duff getting arrested.

After the 2012 summer release of Hang Up, which Kick Kick Snares perfectly summed up as a, "...sensual bit of musical love making between, bright euro-dance, nu-disco and dirty house,"  Glass Theory's music entered the remix scene with DJs At Dawn We Rage and Amsterdam trio Nobody Beats The Drum. Both DJs latched onto Duff's first single "Out Of Time," bestowing their own spin on the track with broken beats, harsher drums and bass additions that caught the attention of Nicky Digital, Dubstep.net, and more.

Duff then created his own remix flavor to Warner Bros Records' Blondfire's breakout track "Where The Kids Are" and kissed the tune with a French House beat. Your Music Radar called it, "Top notch." Jack then released a remix for Phoenix-based duo Bogan Via's folk track "Manny," which sparked the interest of Virgin Mobile Radio host Abbey Braden who said it was an, "Absolute gem! We immediately started drooling over it."

While the remixes were buzzing, Duff was busy in the studio creating Hard To Breath in late 2012.  Duff took on the role of producer for the project, and teamed up with Alex Aldi (Holy Ghost, Passion Pit) to mix the EP's title track "Hard To Breath," and Brian "Big Bass" Gardner (Crystal Castles, Depeche mode, New Order) to master it. Shiny pop hooks, glitter-flexed yet grimy production, and mood transforming tracks lace up the new five-song EP into a provocative nu-disco utopia with titillating lyrics.

"Though a lot of my lyrics are about sex, that overall feeling of sensuality in music is what I'm aiming for," says Duff. "I like to write lyrics that can be ambiguous, or sometimes are simply phonetically effective in creating the mood."
