London, UK (July 25, 2012)...Singer Paloma Faith strutted a leg Saturday as she was honored to run with the 2012 Olympic torch through East London. In sky-high scarlett stilettos with her red hair sky-high to boot, Paloma surprised many in the crowd as she proudly represented the gold in glamour. Faith's fans have come to expect this type of unique dedication, however, noting Faith also customized the official Olympic torchbearer tracksuit into a crop top and pedal pushers.
Truly Paloma Faith just shows us how it's done: With her new album debuting at the top of the UK charts to critical acclaim, two ecstatic sold-out concerts at the Somerset House last week, and an album about to hit America for the first time the end of this year, Faith's torch-bearing privilege coincidentally made for a special birthday treat for the Hackney-born singing phenom. Faith wrote on Twitter: "Thank you all for your birthday wishes today! I'm going to carry the Olympic torch today. Biggest candle I've ever blown out!"

While Paloma made the trek in her heels without a misstep, the UK press is falling all over themselves praising Fall To Grace. Mojo raves, "she sings the bejesus out of these big, open-hearted tunes;" The Sun dubs Faith "compellingly unique;" and The Times praises her "big, hook-laden pop tunes." Produced by Nellee Hooper (Bjork, No Doubt, Massive Attack, Madonna) along with Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran), Fall To Grace is full of Faith's bluesy power and husky emotion and will mark Paloma Faith's first official US release when the album is out on Epic Records in November 2012. Faith joined the first day of London celebrations that began with Olympics gymnastics legend Nadia Comaneci holding the torch aloft. The Flame is passed from one Torchbearer to another, spreading the message of peace, unity and friendship. It ends its journey as the last Torchbearer lights the cauldron at the Olympic Games in the Olympic Stadium, marking the official start of the Games.
