The Go! Team recently announced The Scene Between, the band’s first release in 4+ years, and shared the album’s sun-drenched, undeniably catchy title track and first single. Today The Go! Team have unveiled the music video for “The Scene Between” video, directed by long-term visual collaborator James Slater. "I was imagining things like aerial fly-bys, bad chromakey, Waco cable access, country versus the city, a choir in the wilderness,” bandleader Ian Parton tells Pitchfork. “The key thing was I was definitely imagining looking down on landscapes, rivers and forests, but I could hear a slightly menacing, kind of pagan, thing going on too and a definite schizo thing between the verse and the chorus."

The Scene Between, The Go! Team’s follow-up to 2011’s Rolling Blackouts, is markedly different from any of their previous releases. The new album sees Parton going back to The Go! Team’s roots by writing, performing and producing all of the songs himself, sans band members.

Ian Parton had four rules before starting: melody would guide the song, samples would be treated as an instrument rather than a basis for the song, the production would vary across the song like flipping the dial on a radio and the singers must all be people he’d never previously heard of.  Matching the song to the right voice wherever that voice was in the World, an outreach program for bedroom-core DIY artists.

The Scene Between will be released via Memphis Industries on March 24th. It is available for pre-order now at www.thegoteam.co.uk on pink vinyl, CD and download (and via iTunes<http://smarturl.it/scenebetween>) with instant download of the title track.
