POPPED! MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011 ANNOUNCES
DETAILS FOR THEIR HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FOOD BAZAAR!

FESTIVAL TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 23 AND 24 IN PHILADELPHIA'S FDR PARK
The 2011 POPPED! Music Festival will not only represent Philadelphia as a destination for music but also for great local food that extends far beyond your standard festival fare. The POPPED! Food Bazaar, a perfect accoutrement to the festival's musical lineup will celebrate the culinary delights of Philly’s best restaurants and  feature local, healthy, vegan/vegetarian and sustainable epicurean options.  Curating the bazaar this year is Corey Fair, Chef and Blogger of The Modern Farm Table, Philly Homegrown, The Food Trust, Drew Lazor of Meal Ticket, and Alexis Rosenzweig of POPPED! Festival, Inc.
The curators believe that good music deserves good food, and with that, the food bazaar will feature everything from artisan gelato, chicken curry tacos, brick oven pizza from a 1949 REO Speedwagon truck, to the infamous Philly Cheesesteak Cookie, and the premiere of ?uestlove’s Signature “The ? Drumstick,” Buttermilk Fried Chicken Drum Sticks from local Lancaster County farms with Homemade Creole Seasoning, from Executive Chefs Clara Park and Elita Bradley.  A portion of the proceeds from “The ? Drumstick” served in the VIP Food Bazaar will benefit The Food Trust.  In addition, the eclectic local-inspired food bazaar will set an example for future events in the City of Philadelphia with all of the food vendors serving their dishes in biodegradable, compostable containers.  Stay tuned as more vendors will continue to be announced leading up to the festival’s kick off!

POPPED! Music Festival 2011 is a 2-day outdoor destination festival that will showcase intriguing and diverse artists on three stages of live music as well as DJ’s, and stand-up comedy. Scheduled to invade Philadelphia's FDR Park on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24, the festival will feature headliners The Shins, Girl Talk and Pretty Lights.
