New York, NY - June 26, 2013 - Votiv is thrilled to announce that Brooklyn-based punk rock pop fierceness THE SO SO GLOS are now joining the Votiv family in a newly acquired partnership. The band's existing label, Shea Stadium Records, will continue to help Votiv work it like they mean it, bringing the masses the band's newly-released album, Blowout.

"We're psyched about teaming up with Votiv," says singer Alex Levine. "This seems like the perfect way to bring Shea Stadium Records to all corners of the globe and the folks at Votiv have been super supportive and see eye to eye with us on where we want to go."

Blowout is produced by longtime friend and Shea Stadium owner/collaborator Adam Reich and engineer/producer Kyle "Slick" Johnson. The band has been together since childhood, not a major feat considering singer/bassist Alex Levine and guitarist Ryan Levine are brothers, drummer Zach Staggers is their stepbrother, and Matt Elkin is a friend since grammar school. And the chemistry seems to work, as The So So Glos have been praised by everyone from Rolling Stone ("Band to Watch<http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/band-to-watch-the-so-so-glos-20130422>"), Pitchfork, The New York Times, SPIN, MTV, to Stereogum. The So So Glos were recently nominated for the "Make A Band Famous" award at this year's MTV O Music Awards, which in the past has featured The Alabama Shakes and Foster The People among others. On Votiv, The So So Glos join an exceptionally diverse group of artists on the label, including Australia's ALPINE, Los Angeles's WHITE ARROWS, and fellow Brooklynites, WE ARE AUGUSTINES; furthermore, Votiv's management roster touts the likes of indie darlings NIGHT BEDS, CRAFT SPELLS, and YOUNG EMPIRES.

The band will be playing select dates this summer before a fall tour. They will be bringing their live show, which has been called a "raucous fucking party" (L Magazine) to Glasslands on July 9th before touring with Diarrhea Planet and Desaparecidos in August through October.
