February 15, 2013 - Los Angeles, CA - Jamie Lidell fans can go to the new Myspace to hear the acclaimed soul singer and musician's upcoming album exclusively. To date, only a handful of songs have been released from the self-titled Jamie Lidell: "What A Shame,"Why_Ya_Why," and "You Naked," which was premiered via a striking video - which can be seen HERE<http://youtu.be/65r_xN1eWeY>.  Myspace is the only place where fans can listen to the entire album for free in advance of its February 19 release.
Myspace caught up with Lidell to speak with him about recording what is essentially a grand-scale bedroom project. Known for folding soul, funk and electronic elements into his compositions, Lidell went back to basics for his latest work after collaborating with the likes of Beck, Feist, Nikka Costa, and others for Compass (2010). The Cambridge native set up shop in Nashville with his wife and built a studio in his home, which allowed him to take on duties as both producer and musician. Besides gabbing about his album, Lidell also shared about how Kendrick Lamar blows his mind, his background in science, and passion for beat boxing.
