"...they've upped their creative ante...coming across as more measured and mature...Lead single "Little Shocks" goes some way to showcasing this murkier atmosphere - where before there was shiny hooks, here the chorus doesn't leap from the speakers and the whole piece swells with unexpected drama." - BBC
Leeds' five-piece, Kaiser Chiefs, are giving fans an opportunity to stream their forthcoming album, Start the Revolution Without Me, a full week prior to its March 6th release date via RollingStone.com! Give the record a listen HERE<http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/exclusive-album-stream-kaiser-chiefs-start-the-revolution-without-me-20120228>. You can also catch Kaiser Chiefs on the Late Show with David Letterman on April 11th performing first US single, "On the Run". In addition to their two weekend performances at the long sold out Coachella Festival, Kaiser Chiefs will also be performing at SXSW next month! Catch them on Thursday, March 15th at the Filter Magazine showcase at Cedar Street Courtyard (4:00 PM) and the High Road Touring showcase at Stubbs (11:00 PM). The band recently added a San Diego stop on March 19th to their Spring tour where they will be hitting hit NYC, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Chicago as they make their way across the country with Walk the Moon supporting. Full list of tour dates are below!
Kaiser Chiefs are touring in support of their forthcoming release, Start the Revolution Without Me (B-Unique/Cooperative Music/Downtown) due out on March 6th featuring five never-before released tracks. For this record the band teamed up with producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, T. Rex), Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Ray LaMontagne, Emmylou Harris) and Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve) as well as trying their hand at producing their own tracks with drummer/songwriter, Nick Hodgson at the controls. Out of this came Kaiser Chiefs' most forward thinking output to date. The first track on the album, "Little Shocks" marks the band's 14th BBC Radio 1 playlist hit in seven years. Check out the track at RCRDLBL HERE<http://rcrdlbl.com/2011/12/08/premiere_kaiser_chiefs_little_shocks>.
The band has released three albums Stateside including Employment, Your's Truly, Angry Mob and Off With Their Heads. Kaiser Chiefs have sold over six million albums worldwide, won countless awards including three Brit Awards and toured the world non-stop. Rolling Stone called Kaiser Chiefs music, "great British pop in the dynamic lethal-irony tradition of the mid-Sixties Kinks, the early Jam and, with that vintage-New Wave tone of Nick Baines' keyboards, XTC's 1979 album, Drums and Wires."
