TRAMPLED BY TURTLES
FALL TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED!
Duluth, MN acoustic quintet Trampled by Turtles are returning to the
road to support the success of their breakout release, Palomino, on a
genre-busting fall tour including dates with These United States, Those
Darlins and the Infamous Stringdusters. Palomino entered the Billboard
Bluegrass chart at #1 and brought the band national attention. Along
with the band's must-see live shows, the infectious lead track, "Wait So
Long," has become a word-of-mouth sensation, with MTVu now sponsoring
the video for "Wait So Long" on their show "The Freshman" for viewers to
vote on:

Trampled by Turtles' blend of dazzling speedgrass coupled with
thoughtful, Townes Van Zant-esque originals launched them from hometown
phenomenon to national status. Comparisons to the Avett Brothers and
Mumford and Sons followed, but the band's unique sound, incorporating
the band members' personal musical backgrounds in punk and rock and
roll, makes them a hard act to pigeonhole. Trampled by Turtles'
high-energy shows, featuring tight harmonies, dazzling picking and
haunting songs is what brings in converts of all musical persuasions -
you have to experience a TBT show to understand the energy and
connection between the band and their audiences.
2010 saw TBT receive their own star on famed Minneapolis rock club First
Avenue. The band also hit the festival circuit hard this year, with
blistering sets at fests ranging from SXSW , Del McCourey's Delfest,
Bumbershoot, High Sierra, and Stagecoach, where they've been
consistently singled out as a band to watch.=20
Catch them on one of the following tour dates and please contact me for
press, interview or guest list requests.

Some Praise for Trampled by Turtles'
"Poised to break out." - Under the Radar
=20
"The Duluth quintet, led by guitarist/vocalist Dave Simonett, are
blazing unchartered acoustic territory with a repertoire of rapid-fire
fiddle, banjo and mandolin. This is pleasant, hard-charging,
barn-burning music. The lyrics are introspective, and the songs are
infectiously raucous."- AOL Spinner
=20
"Trampled by Turtles inhabit a fertile area somewhere between bluegrass
and rock, often playing at warp speed on guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin,
and fiddle but never forgetting that the song is the thing." - The UTNE
Reader
=20
"The most addictive nu-grass album in a while" - Mojo
=20
"The group's latest, Palomino, pairs that blazing dexterity with
plaintive ballads-the more relaxed tone of the latter impresses as much
as, if not more than, the sheer speed of the former." - The Onion=20
=20
"On Palomino, Trampled by Turtles come on like a bluegrass version of
Husker Du. "Wait So Long" - after a deceptively slow start - can leave
you (and them) breathless with its double-time wall-of-strings stampede
of acoustic instruments: fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, bass. Yet
singer/guitarist/principal songwriter Dave Simonett stays out in front,
making sure speed doesn't pummel the melody" - Blurt
