</i>– Hit songwriters Sam Hollander and Kevin Griffin were deep in the midst of a heated, decade-old holiday music debate (Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas" or "A Very Special Christmas" compilations benefitting the Special Olympics) when they both suddenly
wondered: where has all the holiday musical philanthropy gone? Where's the give minus the take? And thus, they formed
<b>Band of Merrymakers</b> which announced today that they will release their debut single “<b>Must Be Christmas</b>” (The End Records) on
<b>November 17, 2014</b> in time for the holidays and unveiled the single artwork.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">“Band of Merrymakers is a rotating-cast Yuletide super group with one goal: to help raise awareness and donations for non-profit organizations and charities we are passionate about,” says Kevin Griffin, songwriter and frontman of Better
Than Ezra.<br>

This year’s Band of Merrymakers includes members of <b>Lady Antebellum</b>, <b>Neon Trees</b>,
<b>Fitz and The Tantrums</b>, <b>311, Better Than Ezra</b>, <b>3OH!3, Smallpools</b>,
<b>The Mowglis, Sinclair, </b>and<b> The Honeymoons</b>. A portion of the proceeds from their upcoming single "<b>Must Be Christmas</b>" will go to the
<b>MusiCares Foundation®. <o:p></o:p></b></p>

One of the first artists to come on board was <b>Fitz from Fitz and The Tantrums.</b><br>

“Kevin asked me if I would be into singing on a Christmas song to benefit MusiCares® and I jumped at the opportunity because I believe so deeply in what they do to try and help musicians,” says Fitz. “They have helped so many of my friends.”<o:p></o:p></p>
