Los Angeles, CA - June 8, 2015 - Multi-platinum alt-rock band Lifehouse's new album Out of the Wasteland (Ironworks Records/Kobalt Label Services) debuts at #1 on the Independent Album chart as well as #3 Top Rock Albums and #26 on Billboard 200 charts. The album is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and available at all retail in the US with an exclusive deluxe version available at Target and Target.com that will include four bonus tracks. To celebrate the #1 independent album chart position, the band released a lyric video for their new track "Runaways," PRESS HERE<http://smarturl.it/runawaysvid> to watch.

"This album was really special to us as we were really trying to take things back to the beginning and have complete creative control on how we wanted to accomplish that," says singer songwriter Jason Wade. "It's incredible to know and show fellow musicians that you don't have to be on a major label to make an impact"

Tying into the album release, Lifehouse took over TVs last week with performances on Live with Kelly & Michael<http://bcove.me/00c2o51c>, FOX & Friends Summer Concert Series and DirectTV's Guitar Center Sessions. Fans can get a sneak peek of the upcoming Guitar Center Session with the premiere of the "Hurricane" performance video on Entertainment Weekly, PRESS HERE<http://www.ew.com/article/2015/06/01/watch-lifehouse-perform-hurricane-guitar-center-sessions> to watch.

Billboard.com first gave fans a taste of the band's new album with lead single "Hurricane," PRESS HERE<http://www.billboard.com/articles/6451060/lifehouse-hurricane-video-exclusive-new-album> to listen. Out of the Wasteland captures the sound of a band going through a rebirth and finding the freedom that comes after a period of transition and regeneration. Whether it is the tender track "Central Park," "Wish" or songs like "Yesterday's Son" and "Hurt This Way" that feel to be a continuation from their last album, Out of the Wasteland reflects the range that Lifehouse is capable of today. Also on several songs, including the harmony-heavy track "Hourglass," Wade got to fulfill a musical fantasy and work with legendary movie score composer James Newton Howard to create more expansive string arrangements.

Out of the Wasteland is the work of a group that has some history. Los Angeles-based Lifehouse broke through in a big way when "Hanging by a Moment," from their debut album No Name Face, spent 20 weeks in the Top Ten and won a Billboard Music Award for "Hot 100 Single of the Year." Since then, the band has released five more albums, sold over 15 million records worldwide and spun off such hit singles as "You and Me," "First Time," and "Whatever it Takes." Lifehouse is one of the most played artists in the history of Hot AC with 1.5 million spins and over 1.6 Billion Pandora Plays to date.
