LOS ANGELES, CA - JANUARY 15, 2015 - Adam Levine's 222 Records has earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for the track "Lost Stars" from the major motion picture film Begin Again (The Weinstein Company). The soundtrack for director John Carney's (Once) film Begin Again marks the inaugural release for Levine's 222 Records under the company's new partnership with Interscope Records. The compilation was released by ALXNDR/222/Polydor/Interscope in July in conjunction with the film hitting theaters on June 27th, 2014. In addition to this morning's Oscar nomination, "Lost Stars" also recently received a nomination for "Best Original Song" from The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) for The 20th Annual Critics' Choice Awards.

I greatly admire Gregg and Danielle's songwriting and to have the soundtrack released via 222 Records, was a huge honor. I wish everyone involved with the project a huge congratulations."
Founded in 2012, Los Angeles based 222 Records boasts a diverse roster of artists including singer/songwriter Rozzi Crane, who collaborated with Maroon 5 on the first Hunger Games soundtrack, which debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top 200 Album chart. Crane will be the first new artist to release an album under the new 222 Records/Interscope Records partnership. In addition to the Begin Again soundtrack, 222/Interscope also jointly released Maroon 5's highly anticipated fifth studio album, V on September 2, 2014.
