Brooklyn-based trio Sunflower Bean - one of the most raw, buzzed-about and badass discoveries of CMJ Music Marathon 2014 - are kicking the New Year off with the self-release of their killer debut EP. Show Me Your Seven Secrets, out January 27th, is the first offering from Julia Cumming, Nick Kivlen, and Jacob Faber, a.k.a. the neo-psych band Sunflower Bean. Though all three members have yet to turn 20, they have already earned the title "Hardest Working NYC Band in 2014" by playing - and completely slaying - over 50 shows in New York City alone last year.

With their rugged, lo-fi, bass-heavy sound full of exciting twists and turns, Sunflower Bean are re-inventing the garage band wheel. Show Me Your Seven Secrets, a collection of dark and pure rock & roll bliss, isn't due until the end of the month, but you can listen to a few stand-out tracks now.
