Maroon 5 has announced that they will be joining fellow band mate Adam Levine perform the track "Lost Stars"- from the major motion picture film Begin Again- at the 87th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, February 22nd. The track earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. The song, written by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois, was performed in the film by Adam Levine himself. The soundtrack for director John Carney's (Once) film Begin Again marks the inaugural release for Levine's 222 Records under the company's new partnership with Interscope Records. The compilation was released by ALXNDR/222/Polydor/Interscope in July in conjunction with the film hitting theaters on June 27th, 2014.
In support of the band's latest release, V, Maroon 5 will be embarking on THE MAROON 5 WORLD TOUR 2015 which kicks off at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Feb. 16, 2015, taking the band to 35+ cities throughout North America and Europe.
