Acclaimed rock artist Ryan Star, known for his raw and powerful live shows, has unveiled his new "F*ck'n Up" video shot live from New York City's Mercury Lounge by Joshua Butler, the director of The CW's hit show The Vampire Diaries. It was filmed during Ryan's NYC takeover last month when he played 4 shows in 4 nights, re-visiting some of the venues where he got his start.

R. Star's new EP, Animals, is out now. Recorded entirely analog with his touring band, it boasts a cinematic flare and with the kind of understated nuances that only he can deliver. After taking the music world by storm during the last three years and signing to Island Def Jam in 2012, Ryan is reclaiming his art and chose to self-release the EP, which he executive produced.

Ryan has had his music featured prominently in more than 50 films and TV shows, including P.S. I Love You, The Vampire Diaries and the opening theme song to Lie To Me. Given his live prowess, he's been tapped to open for many of today's chart-topping artists and has even shared the stage with childhood idol and friend Steven Van Zandt. His 2010 full-length major label debut, 11:59, landed at #10 on Billboard's Rock Albums Chart and #4 on the Tastemakers Chart. Then, his 2012 hit "Stay Awhile" lit up airwaves and quickly amassed over 2 million YouTube views, earning him a performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
