The winner will get the chance to perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on August 25, as well as become MTV's Artist To Watch or VH1's You Oughta Know. The O Music Awards are Viacom's newest awards show, dedicated to honoring the intersection between music, technology and fans. In the past, the O Music Awards have featured former up-and-comers/current stars like Foster The People, The Alabama Shakes and Hunter Hayes, helping them break out via in-show performances.
