Every once in a while an artist comes along with a voice that will stop you in your tracks. Ginny Blackmore does just that. Signed to Epic Records, the 27-year-old songstress from New Zealand is taking over radio airwaves with her single "Bones," which is quickly climbing the Hot AC Chart. The song, which features Ginny's stunning original vocals that she recorded in her bedroom, has turned out to be a powerful introduction to Ginny's artistry, marking her as one of pop's most captivating newcomers. "Bones" is out now across all digital platforms, packaged with two other must-hear songs "Hello World" and "SFM." Those songs and many more addictive and heartfelt pop-R&B gems will be on her forthcoming self-titled debut album, set for release on July 23rd.



On June 27th, Ginny will make her national TV debut on Live with Kelly & Michael. Be sure to tune into ABC at 9am ET/PT to catch her performance.  Amidst a busy summer of touring and radio shows, Ginny will play a special showcase in New York City on June 17th at Rockwood Music Hall - Stage 2.



Upon leaving school at her principal's recommendation at the age of 16 (she missed too many days for musical theater and was caught singing in class on more than one occasion), Ginny's parents allowed her to follow her dream as long as she treated songwriting like a job, 9-5.  It was during that time that she honed her songwriting and learned how to engineer her own vocals. She blended her influences from the likes of Lauryn Hill, Destiny's Child, Usher, Pink, Mariah Carey, and Michael Jackson with her unique songwriting perspective.  After moving to London to write for other artists, Ginny signed a publishing deal that would forever change her destiny. Her deeply personal ballad "Sing For Me" caught the attention of Christina Aguilera, who recorded it for her recent album Lotus. (Ginny's song "SFM" is the original version.) Under the wing of songwriter-producer and A&R executive Tricky Stewart (Beyoncé, Rihanna), Ginny was signed to Epic Records. Now she can tell her principal that following her dreams really did pay off.
