New York, NY (December 17, 2013) - 2014 will mark Blondie's 40th Anniversary, and to kick it all off in spectacular fashion the band will perform on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014, live from New York's Times Square. Undeniably one of the most trailblazing and influential bands of our time, Blondie made their first appearance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in 1979. It will be a special honor for Debbie Harry, Chris Stein and Clem Burke to return to the New Year's Rockin' Eve stage for the first time in more than 30 years (along with newer band mates Leigh Foxx who has been with the band since '97, guitarist Tommy Kessler and keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen.) Blondie will ring in the New Year alongside Miley Cyrus, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Icona Pop, who will also be on hand to perform in New York City.

Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy will be live from Times Square as Ryan leads the traditional countdown to midnight in front of an estimated 1 million people and tens of millions of television viewers nationwide. Coverage begins at 8pm ET/PT December 31st on ABC and will feature hours of special performances and reports on New Year's celebrations from around the globe.

"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014," is a bi-coastal event with a West Coast celebration hosted by Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas.  Previously announced West Coast performers include Capital Cities, Daughtry, Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Florida Georgia Line, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Enrique Iglesias, Robin Thicke and The Fray.

Blondie's chart-topping success, pioneering spirit, fearless nature and rare longevity led to an induction into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 and more than 40 million albums sold worldwide to date. As we look back at the band's storied career and how their music and fashion have influenced artists of all kinds in every decade since their debut, it makes Blondie's current vibrancy that much more stunning as they enter their 40th year of entertaining all of us.

Ryan Seacrest spotlights some of the year's hottest artists, groups and songs. Fergie hosts the Los Angeles party, and Jenny McCarthy is live with all the festivities in Times Square. (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET)

Ryan Seacrest counts down to midnight live from Times Square, and then the party continues with some of the year's hottest acts from Los Angeles and New York. (Part 1, 11:30 p.m. - 1:08 a.m., ET) (Part 2, January 1, 1:08 - 2:12 a.m., ET)
