Band to Embark on Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival This Summer

New York, NY, April 25, 2013 -- Claudio Sanchez, lead singer of New York based rock band Coheed and Cambria and the creative mind behind the star-spanning space opera "The Amory Wars" - the saga behind the band's ongoing concept albums, has revealed The Amory Wars: Fall of the Keywork, a thrilling fighting game available now on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Within 24 hours of release the, game debuted in the Top 40 of the paid app chart!  It has also been announced that the band will be included on the line up for this year's Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival, alongside Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction, Circa Survive and more.  The touring rock music and lifestyle festival will travel across North America from August 9 - September 13, 2013 (see dates below).

The Amory Wars: Fall of the Keywork is a fighting game, developed in conjunction with Southern California's Man Vs. Games, that allows fans to travel around "the Keywork" to fight as and against 10 of the most popular characters in the "The Amory Wars" mythos, including Coheed Kilgannon, Wilhelm Ryan and Al the Killer. Players face-off in a variety of battlegrounds including beloved and never-before-seen storied locales Apity Prime, the Faint of Hearts bar, and Hohenberger's Lab. The game also features a new mechanic for fighting games, The Swipe Button. The feature allows players to focus on execution and timing by moving the button in one of four directions.

Sanchez's "The Amory Wars" has seen huge success and fan excitement in its cross media releases. The comic book series has been a huge hit, garnering a spot on the New York Times' Best Sellers list for graphic novels and securing a production deal with Leverage Entertainment and actor/director/producer Mark Wahlberg for the live action film rights to the story.

Coheed and Cambria's epic double album, The Afterman, has been one of the most critically acclaimed set of albums released this year. Volume 1 of the double album, The Afterman: Ascension, debuted at #5 on the Billboard charts on October 9, 2012. Volume II, The Afterman: Descension, debuted at #9 on the Billboard charts on February 5, 2013.
