NEW YORK, NY November 16, 2012-VEVO premieres the third visual piece from director Robert Schober (Green Day, The Killers, Mastodon) for COHEED AND CAMBRIA's new single and title track, "The Afterman" TODAY! The video sees The Afterman's (i.e. Sirius Amory) spaceship exploding in the sky, and his wife Meri's emotional response to the news.



COHEED AND CAMBRIA will also release The Afterman: Ascension (Big Beige Demos) as a limited edition clear vinyl to indie retailers on November 23, 2012 (Black Friday) to hold fans over until the release of volume two of their double album, The Afterman: Descension on February 5, 2013 via Everything Evil/Hundred Handed Inc. On 'Big Beige Demos' each song from The Afterman: Ascension, which debuted at #5 last month, can be heard in its original, raw form - mostly acoustic, recorded on front-man Claudio Sanchez's mini-home studio rig at its inception.


The band is currently wrapping up their tour of intimate headlining shows and will embark on a national headlining tour beginning with two shows in Washington D.C. at the 9:30 Club on February 4th and 5th.  The tour sees the band playing landmark venues such as NYC's Radio City Music Hall and LA's Wiltern Theater. Supporting Coheed will be the progressive juggernaut BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME and the artsy post-rock trio RUSSIAN CIRCLES. Tickets for the tour are on-sale now and while pre-sale tickets have been sold out for COHEED AND CAMBRIA'S stop at Radio City Music Hall, tickets have gone on sale TODAY!

About The Afterman:  The first volume from the double-album charts Sirius' sci-fi journey into the stars of the alternate universe known well by Coheed fans as "Heaven's Fence." Upon entering "the Keywork," the blue gaseous energy force that powers these worlds, Amory stumbles upon the Afterlife. In his first confrontation with a soul, "Domino the Destitute" possesses Sirius, who is forced to relive the frenetic events that had occurred in Domino's waking life. The second volume, 'Descension' follows Sirius' return to his home planet after a long absence and the negative effects that follow.
