Oklahoma rock outfit Taddy Porter will return with the release of their sophomore album Stay Golden on February 26, 2012, via Primary Wave Music. Lead single "Fever" premiered on PasteMagazine.com today. PRESS HERE<http://www.pastemagazine.com/blogs/av/2012/11/song-premiere-taddy-porter---fever.html> to listen to the song about an unattainable vixen, featuring a fuzzed-out guitar groove, swaggering blues-rock vocals and thumping bass.

Co-produced by Dave Cobb (Chris Cornell, Shooter Jennings) and Mark Neill (The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach), Stay Golden finds Taddy Porter re-energized and cracking open the heart of the band like never before, flooding these 11 lo-fi songs with elements of raw rock, warm Motown soul, Southern blues and psychedelic pop to create their most expansive sound to date.

Unwavering in their commitment to create an album truly reflective of their musical DNA and their growth over the past two years, Taddy Porter found inspiration for the new set of songs, and the album title, from the line in the film The Outsiders, 'Stay gold, Ponyboy.' It speaks to the idea that through all of life's curveballs and the cynicism that creeps in with age, keeping a sense of innocence and optimism is the key to staying golden. There is beauty to be found in change as long as we remain true to ourselves.

After Taddy Porter's eponymous debut in 2010, the band - Andy Brewer (lead vocalist, guitarist), Joe Selby (lead guitar, backing vocals), brothers Doug (drums) and Kevin Jones (bass) - quickly saw their music featured prominently on HBO's Newsroom and Entourage, Showtime's Homeland, Monday Night Football, ESPN, ABC, NBC and more. They shared the stage with everyone from Slash to Band of Skulls, and released a video starring Steven Tyler's daughter Chelsea Tallarico for their song "Long Slow Drag." But after touring non-stop and playing more than 250 shows in a year, the band took stock of the course they were on.

Grappling with how to remain creatively satisfied after their whirlwind experience on the road, they concluded that it was time to dig further into their roots and explore some of the musical avenues that they passed by during the recording of their first album. Hidden away in the rolling hills outside of Nashville, TN, Taddy Porter hunkered down in Cobb's studio. As they began immersing themselves in late British invasion bands and Cobb's vintage gear, something stirred within the band. They began rekindling their love affair with classic rock 'n' roll.

On songs like "Emma Lee" and "You Can Count On Me," Taddy Porter's visceral rock sensibilities mix with an irresistible '60s swing. "Changes" boasts an anthemic chant, a wall of reverb and a searing guitar solo. On "The Gun (Part 1)," the band tells a cinematic Western-style story of a hitman on the verge of vengeance with an airy twang and surf guitar echo a la Dick Dale. From the evocative and tender "We Can Do Anything" to the hook-laden "Walk Away," it is clear that Taddy Porter has found their musical sweet spot and the result is an album filled with songs as timeless as the era they hearken back to.
