WHEELER BROTHERS Sweep the Austin Music Awards with 5 wins including BEST NEW BAND

Indie-Americana five-piece, Wheeler Brothers, are feeling the love in Austin today with the news that they will take home 5 Austin Music Awards tonight, including the prestigious Best New Band award! Full list of winnings includes: Best New Band, Best Roots Rock Band, Nolan Wheeler for Best Acoustic Guitar, Tyler Wheeler for Best Bass and A.J. Molyneaux for Best Miscellaneous Instrument for lap steel. Their label, Bismeaux Records, snagged the Best Local Label award and Wheeler Brothers also came in as runners up for Best Producer, Mark Hallman, for Portraits, and Best Folk Band.

Formed in Austin, TX, the Wheeler Brothers are made up of brothers Nolan (guitar/piano/vocals), Tyler (bass) and Patrick Wheeler (drums) along with Danny Matthews (guitar/vocals), and A.J. Molyneaux (lap steel/guitar/vocals). Their debut album, Portraits, features sing along, guitar driven jams with clear, crisp vocals and plenty of down-home Southern twang. They have quickly emerged as one of Austin’s most exciting up-and-coming bands whose style is described as “ball-of-fire Americana” by the Austin Chronicle.
