Since its release in June of 2002, the album has gone on to sell close to five million copies in the U.S. alone, producing three hit singles in "Harder to Breathe," "This Love" and "She Will be Loved," earning the group a Grammy(r) award for Best New Artist. To mark the occasion, the deluxe edition is being released as a two-CD set that includes the demos of 12 original songs, including previously unreleased songs like "Take What You Want," Woman" and "Chilly Winter," as well as "Rag Doll" (a non-album B-side available only internationally) and an alternative mix of "The Sun." [All Fall Down - Cover - HR]Today, multi-Grammy Award winner Shawn Colvin releases her eighth studio album, All Fall Down on Nonesuch Records. A collection of 11 songs, All Fall Down is produced by her longtime friend and cohort Buddy Miller (Robert Plant, Solomon Burke). Recorded in Nashville, with a group of stellar musicians, the album features performances by Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Jakob Dylan, Bill Frisell, Viktor Krauss, Brian Blade, Stuart Duncan, and Julie Miller, amongst others. Each song is deeply personal to Colvin, who describes All Fall Down as "an album about loss but also about redemption and resolution." The album release comes on the same date as William Morrow/HarperCollins publishes her memoir, Diamond In The Rough, which insightfully and candidly looks back over a rich lifetime of highs and lows.

Shawn Colvin will be performing songs from All Fall Down and signing copies of her memoir at Barnes and Nobel Tribeca today at 6pm.
