NEW YORK, NY, December 7, 2012—Rock ‘n’ roll trio CUSSES premiere the video for “Don’t Give In” on Revolver Magazine today! Intended to reminisce rock videos of the 90s, the visual takes the viewer on an adrenaline-pumping chase to match the fast-thumping rhythm of the dark anthem off the band’s self-titled debut.  “We wanted the video to symbolize the innocence of youth being exposed to the harsh realities of life,” says front-woman Angel Bond. Shot in Savannah Georgia, directors Bond, band-member Brian Lackey and Joe Page, used simple elements of black and white to portray two sides of life—the good and the bad.  “The storyline is ultimately about the circle of life, and the good and bad distractions and influences one encounters through life,” continues Bond.
Already gaining momentum at alternative and specialty radio, including support from #1 Alternative station KROQ, with their first single “Worst Enemy,” CUSSES will embark on their first national tour early next year.  The first leg of the tour kicks off in Charlotte, NC on February 19th at Snug Harbor, with more dates to be added through April [Tour Dates Below].
The band’s debut, self-titled album, released October 30, 2012 via HA! Records,  is a collection of straight ROCK ‘N’ ROLL with a touch of riot grrrl sass, led by power-house vocalist Bond, and accompanied by commanding guitars from Brian Lackey and Brian Harder—no bass needed!  CUSSES have delivered a sound of effortless, speaker-blasting rock. “It’s the most ‘sound’ three people can make,” says Lackey. “We made this record with an honest approach. We didn’t add any session players in the recording process and when we play these songs live, every sound you hear comes from the three of us.”
Produced by Dan Hannon (Manchester Orchestra), Cusses is a relentlessly engaging collection of edgy, refreshing rock. Bond’s wistful vocals cut brilliantly through strong, unyielding drum beats and commanding guitar riffs while the layered guitar parts played by Harder eliminate the need for a bassist, reminiscent of 90’s grunge era bands. The album features the hard-hitting, high voltage lead single “Worst Enemy”, the breezier, misleadingly sunny sounding “Blood Everywhere” and the anthemic “Don’t Give In” featuring the added talents of Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull, taking on co-writing responsibilities with Bond.
After being introduced through mutual friends in Los Angeles , Bond and Lackey  moved from Los Angeles in 2009, where they worked in the art department for print and film together, to Savannah, GA in order to follow their passion for making music and performing.  A meeting with Lackey’s long time friend and previous bandmate—Harder (they opened for post-hardcore legends Fugazi in their last band together!)—would solidify the band.  And CUSSES was born, playing their first show in February 2010.
