Directed by Robert Schober (Metallica, Mastodon, Disturbed), the eight-minute long epic tells the story of Domino the Destitute a boxer who is fast on the rise, but who's career comes crashing down in dramatic fashion. Shot in black and white, the video uses classic cinematography and powerful fight scenes, against a powerful performance delivered by Coheed and Cambria throughout the video.  Front-man Claudio Sanchez recently explained the theme of the single and video on the band's facebook page (www.facebook.com/coheedandcambria<http://www.facebook.com/coheedandcambria>): When Sirius enters the Keywork, he realizes this energy force is wholly made up of human souls. This is their first contact with a human since they were living - The first soul to take over Sirius, to possess him, is Domino the Destitute. Sirius must now experience Domino's life as he lived it. The storyline behind 'THE AFTERMAN' double-album, depicts the life of celebrated cosmonaut/astronomer Sirius Amory, as he embarks on a journey into space, where he makes arguably the greatest scientific discovery known to mankind. Upon his return however, the sudden death of his wife sparks the realization that he allowed what was truly important to him slip right through his hands; and the only mission left for him is to find a way to make amends.
The first volume, 'Ascension,' charts Sirius' sci-fi journey into the stars of the alternate universe known well by Coheed fans as "Heaven's Fence."  The second volume, 'Descension,' shows his fall back to his home planet and the not so warm welcome he receives, followed by a tragedy that unfolds from there.
COHEED AND CAMBRIA are currently overseas for both Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend and will return to the U.S. for a string of intimate performances along the east coast in mid-September (see tour dates below).
