The Way It Was Debuts in the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 Chart!

May 25, 2011 - New York, NY - Parachute's sophomore album The Way It Was (Mercury Records) has debuted in the Top 20 on the Billboard 200, just one week after hitting #1 on the iTunes Rock Albums Chart and #2 on the iTunes Albums Chart.  Parachute also claimed the #1 spot on the iTunes Rock Songs Chart with "Kiss Me Slowly," co-written with Grammy winners Lady Antebellum.

Amidst their incredible chart debuts, the band gave a brilliant choir-backed performance of their Top 20 smash hit "Something To Believe In" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The Way It Was, produced by John Fields (Goo Goo Dolls, Switchfoot, P!nk), is the follow-up to the band's 2009 debut album Losing Sleep (Mercury Records), which shot to #1 on the iTunes and Amazon digital albums charts.

 After a run of June U.S. headlining dates, including a hometown show in Charlottesville, VA, on June 4th, Parachute will hit the road with Goo Goo Dolls and Michelle Branch for a mammoth 30-city North American summer tour.
