Parachute Adds June U.S. Headlining Shows to Summer Tour

Set To Perform Top 20 Hot AC Hit Single on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno May 19th

NEW Videos for Album Tracks "Kiss Me Slowly," co-written with Lady Antebellum, and "You and Me"

Sophomore album 'The Way It Was' out May 17th on Mercury Records

Parachute has added June U.S. headlining tour dates to their summer tour, which will kick off on June 4th with a very special show in their hometown of Charlottesville, VA. The band will then hit the road once again in July for a North American summer tour with the Goo Goo Dolls and Michelle Branch.

The band will perform their new radio hit "Something To Believe In" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on May 19th. Currently Top 20 on the Hot AC Chart and climbing, the song - called "a surefire hit" by Billboard - is the lead single from Parachute's forthcoming sophomore album The Way It Was, due out May 17th on Mercury Records and produced by John Fields (Switchfoot, the Goo Goo Dolls, P!nk).

Additionally, Parachute has released two new songs from The Way It Was exclusively on iTunes - "Kiss Me Slowly," co-written with Grammy winners Lady Antebellum, and the bright pop-rock track "You and Me," which AOL Music just called a "Bonnie-and-Clyde themed tune." The "Kiss Me Slowly" video can be seen here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXqYw_II6Pc> . Check out the charming video for "You and Me" here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQzFZPEs020> .

The band - magnetic frontman Will Anderson (guitars, piano, lead vocals), Kit French (saxophone, keyboards, vocals), Alex Hargrave (bass), Johnny Stubblefield (drums), and Nate McFarland (lead guitar, vocals) - are on tour now with Plain White T's, treating audiences to a preview of several new songs from The Way It Was, including "You and Me," "Halfway," "What I Know," and "White Dress."

The Way It Was is the follow-up to the band's 2009 debut album Losing Sleep (Mercury Records), which shot to #1 on the iTunes and Amazon digital albums charts and received praise from the likes of Billboard, People, Seventeen and Marie Claire. Since their debut, Parachute has performed on Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Early Show and their songs have been featured on MTV's The City and the CW's One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries and 90210. In the live arena, the past two years have seen the band playing headlining shows and opening for the likes of Kelly Clarkson, The Script, Plain White Ts, O.A.R., 3 Doors Down and Secondhand Serenade.

Praise for Parachute and "Something To Believe In":

"A choir bolsters Will Anderson's urgent vocals on this romantic tune ['Something To Believe In']..." - USA Today

"...a surefire hit... 'Something to Believe In' could have Parachute poised for the stardom it deserves..." - Billboard
