WHAT: Heavy metal's "Big Four," Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and
Anthrax broadcast their historic performance from the Sonisphere tour
date in Sofia, Bulgaria on Tuesday, June 22nd to movie theaters around
the world. Twelve HD cameras will capture the performances, which
will be beamed via satellite to over 975 cinemas in 31 countries
including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France,
Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and 21 others
across Europe and Latin America. Ticket sales for the June 22nd event
are brisk, with many venues sold out, including the Auditorio Nacional
in Mexico City with over 6,000 attendees. In the United States, a
special encore presentation of the concert has been added by popular
demand in select cinemas on Thursday, June 24th allowing even more fans
to participate in the historic night of ear-shattering heavy metal.
