Performance on Late Night With Conan O'Brien in January
December 19th - New York, NY - Metal powerhouse, Bang Camaro has just
signed a recording deal with Ramsey Dean's 8th Impression Music out of
Chicago which is a division of Spank Music, one of the nation's top
advertising music agencies. The label is nationally distributed through
Fontana/Universal and will release the group's explosive sophomore album
Bang Camaro II on January 13th. The band will also kick off 2009 with a
performance on Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien on January 6th. =20
The band continues to make big moves in the video game world. The track
"Revolution" will be featured in the highly anticipated The Sims 3
coming out in February. The track "Night Lies" was featured in the
wildly successful Rock Band II. Bang Camaro has also been featured in
other popular video games including Guitar Hero II and Rock Band, as
well as Phase and Titan Quest. Rock Band's developers have also chosen
the band to exclusively unveil The Starter Kit which creates a light and
smoke effect that synchronizes with the music for the ultimate rock star
effect. The program is sure to be a big seller this holiday season which
will add to the band's buzz.
Resonating with various audiences, their new song, "Rock Rebellion" is
featured in the newly released Teton Gravity Research(TGR),16mm & HD Ski
and Snowboard film Under The Influence. This is the second year in a row
that TGR has picked Bang Camaro's music as a part of their award winning
extreme skiing and snowboarding films.=20
Formed by Alex Necochea and Bryn Bennett, the philosophy behind Bang
Camaro was to recreate that anthem rock sound and screaming guitar solos
reminiscent of 80's era metal. What brings the band into the new
millennium is the decision to ditch the overdubs and create their huge
vocals and distinct harmonies using a choir of 10-20 singers. The end
result is just that: big and bombastic whether in the studio or the live
show which has been described as "Headbanger's Ball meets the Polyphonic
Spree" by the paper The Boston Phoenix.=20
