Los Angeles, July 25th, 2014 – Asher Roth
premieres the music video for “Parties At The Disco” featuring ZZ Ward off his latest album
RetroHash on Billboard.com, PRESS HERE to watch. The laid
back summer time track was produced by Blended Babies and the video was directed by Ken Koller.

On collaborating with Asher on the video, ZZ Ward says
“Working with Asher is always really fun. He’s such a talented artist. My favorite part about making the video for ‘Parties at the Disco’ with him was actually in between takes. Every time the camera stopped rolling he would start picking
up trash to help clean up the beach. I was so moved by that gesture.”

This is the first video in a 3 part series telling the story of
RetroHash that serves as a visual accompaniment to Asher Roth's latest album.

"Parties at the Disco is the start of a journey,” says Asher Roth. “A nostalgic dreamscape that creates a wistful web strung from emptiness and desire."

Director Ken Koller shot the video entirely on 8mm film and digital over the course of a week in Santa Monica Beach & Pier, Joshua Tree, Death Valley and Sequoia National Parks. It chronicles the story of Asher's escape from the hustle and bustle of the city
(“Parties at the Disco”), his letting go of his wants and ego (“Last of the Flohicans”), and ultimately to spiritual enlightenment and nirvana (“Pull it”).

The sound apparent in “Parties At The Disco” and throughout the entire collection on
RetroHash is reminiscent of Asher’s new life on the west coast. The album dropped on April 22, 2014 and is available now on
iTunes.

On making the album, Asher said "I made music that I would want to hear, music that felt good to me. We didn't play by any rules and that makes me proud. There shouldn't be any rules in making music.
RetroHash is a genuine expression of the artist and person I am."

RetroHash was produced by The Blended Babies and features guest artists ZZ Ward, Vic Mensa and Chuck Inglish. Asher also enlisted the help of famed art director John Van Hamersveld, recently featured in

Vanity Fair, for the album artwork and photos were taken by Brock Fetch.
