<b><i>The Spark</i></b><i> </i>for free download in early March, featuring production from trio Organized Noise (Outkast). It is Spree's first new collection of songs since the release of his much-buzzed-about 2011 debut mixtape
<b><i>The Never Ending Now</i></b><i> </i>(presented by Converse). That project garnered him critical praise for pushing boundaries with his undeniable ability to layer his thoughtful songwriting and hip-hop roots with his rock'n'roll inspirations, eclectic
influences and top-notch musicianship. <b><i>Vibe </i></b>has called him <i>“a janglier Andre 3000”</i> and
<b><i>Complex</i></b> has said that Spree’s debut <i>“encompasses serious range.”
<b>Okayplayer</b></i> described the project as being akin to the <i>“spirited genre-bending of acts like Outkast, Cee-Lo and Kanye West.”<o:p></o:p></i></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">Born in Nashville and musically re-born in Atlanta, young Spree developed a love for everything from Elton John to Fleetwood Mac to Snoop Dogg to Velvet Underground. He fell in love with the guitar and his Casio
keyboard and upon hearing Outkast's <i>Aquemini,</i> it became "the landmark album of his life." After attending college at Clark Atlanta University in Georgia,
<b>Spree</b> was mentored by heavyweight producer <b>Dallas Austin</b> and was eventually offered a deal. But Spree felt ready for a change and bought a one-way ticket to New York City. After sleeping in the subway and Penn Station for weeks, his demos fell
into the hands of <b>Q-Tip</b>, who was ready and willing to help Spree get his foot in the door of the NYC music industry. In 2010 he was signed to Sony.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
