GRiZ recently kicked off a world tour that will continue throughout May before the summer sees the artist hitting many of the major U.S. festivals including the recently announced - MYSTERYLAND USA. The massive 30+ city Say It Loud World Tour will make stops across the U.S., Canada and Europe, and he will be joined by friends The Floozies, Exmag, Artifakts and Muzzy Bearr on select dates. Grant also announced a special return to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Friday, September 4th. About GRiZ
At age 24, GRiZ (aka Grant Kwiecinski) is already being hailed for his unique sound. He has asserted his place in the music world with his sax-infused sounds that find heart and soul within the beat of the dance floor. Say It Loud serves as a follow-up to its more funk-step predecessors, Rebel Era and Mad Liberation. With assists from rapper Talib Kweli, Afrobeat-group Antibalas, Ivan Neville, a L.A.'s Children's Chorus, and others, the album finds a golden mean between an abundance of brass instruments, liberal use of soulful vocals, and shimmering, synth beats. The name Say It Loud is an homage to James Brown's funk-soul spirit and pioneering messages of equality, and the horns throughout the album shout-out to one of GRiZ's favorite albums, Miles Davis' masterpiece, Sketches of Spain. Late last year, the artist dropped the funk-fuzz single "A Fine Way to Die" (co-written with singer-songwriter Orlando Napier) to tease his new sound, and the track quickly took the coveted #1 spot on Hype Machine's most popular chart. With an epic list of festival performances (Movement, Coachella, Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Lightning in a Bottle, Governor's Ball, Diplo's Mad Decent Block Parties, Summer Set etc ), and tours with everyone from Bassnectar to Pretty Lights to Big Gigantic under his belt, Say It Loud is a natural next step for GRiZ.
